Sourdough Brownie Cookies

66 grams flour (plus 20 grams if needed)

3/4 tsp baking powder

2 eggs

250 g granulated sugar

3/4 tsp salt

1 tbsp oil (I prefer avocado)

1 tsp vanilla extract

100 grams sourdough starter (room temperature)

50 grams of browned butter

227 grams of chocolate (use your favorite, i like milk)

25 grams of cocoa powder

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°

In a small bowl, mix flour (66 grams) and baking powder. Set aside

Add your eggs, sugar and salt to a medium bowl and mix on medium speed until fluffy and white. Then add your oil and vanilla extract and discard, mix on low until combined.

On the stove brown your butter. Then put in a plastic bowl with your chocolate and melt for 20 seconds at a time in the microwave. Then add your cocoa.

Add the warm chocolate mixture to your sugar mixture and mix on medium speed until combined.

Then add your flour mixture and mix on medium speed until combined.

Let sit for 5-10 minutes. If it’s too runny, add a little more flour.

Drop onto a cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 or until cracking on the whole surface. Rotate your baking sheet half way through cooking to ensure even heat to your cookies.
